What: Antique and Classic Car/Truck Show When: Sunday, May 18, 2008 Time: Begins at 3:00 PM with awards at 5:30 PM Where: Parking lot of Denbigh Baptist Church
Join us for our 4th Annual Car-B-Que with opportunity to view antique and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. During the show, barbeque dinners, baked goods, etc. will be sold by the teens of Denbigh Baptist Church. All proceeds will go to help defray the cost of the teens’ mission trip this summer to work in an orphanage in El Salvador. The teens will assist the orphanage with a variety of projects including cleaning, painting, light carpentry, etc. and spending quality time with the orphans.
If you would like to participate by showing a vehicle, just come a little before 3:00 PM that day. The registration fee is $10.00 per vehicle.
We invite your entire family to join us as Dino Detectives as we dig for and find truth in God’s Word. We will have classes for age 2 through 8th grade. We will even have a program for parents. What happened to dinosaurs? Why am I here? Where am I going? Does God keep His promises? Bring your children and join us as we dig for truth through Bible lessons, games, crafts, songs, puppets, and much more!
Well things are really happening now on the Student Ministries Center (SMC). Right now all the demolition is done, we have changed the ceiling height to 11’6” all the walls are in the plumbing, wiring, HVAC have all been roughed in and inspected. If you drive by you can see the concrete has all been poured. We have installed new windows and bricked up all the spots there are no longer windows or doors. This week we will probably see the roof go on the pavilion. The next steps will be to insulate the entire building then drywall. After that come the paint and we are on the homestretch, praise the Lord!! As of the date of this writing we need just $8,000 to complete the project. Thank you all for all your giving and work.
