Pastor Thor & EleaPastor Thor Williams married Elea in 2014 and have been blessed with their firstborn son Michael in 2018. Thor's passion is to glorify God by working with parents to disciple and equip their students to grow into the likeness of Christ and to have students be ready to share the gospel of Jesus in this world. In his down time, Thor enjoys drinking coffee, reading books, playing games, and going on adventures in God's creation.
Paul EilersChronologically the oldest member of the Denbigh Student Ministries Leader team, Paul enjoys fishing and hunting in his ‘spare’ time. He has been involved in youth ministry for over 40 years, dating back to 1975 when he originally started attending youth group at Denbigh Baptist Church.
Matthew Bradley is a first year Denbigh Student Ministries Leader. He grew up going to youth group and Matt feels like God called him to serve the students at DSM this year. He has already had an amazing time getting to know everyone and is excited to grow with the students in Christ the rest of this year and beyond! When Matt is not leading activities and games at youth group you will most likely find him cooking some delicious meal for his wife, Rachel!
LIFE groups are Denbigh Student Ministries small group environment. Each of these groups is led by a qualified adult student ministry leader and made up of 4-8 students of the same gender. The goal of these groups is to Mature in Christ together. This goal of this is accomplished by meeting most nights after the lesson to discuss what the students heard, connected with, discuss any questions they may have, and spend time sharing and praying together. Each LIFE group will occasionally take group trips throughout the year, sometimes during a Wednesday night LIFE gathering and at other times for random outings.
Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31-32). Spending quantity quality time in God's word is a key to knowing, following, and loving the Word, Jesus Christ. OnTrack Devotions are supplied at the beginning of each month to encourage and equip students to abide in God's Word on their own.
LIFE Sunday School is Denbigh Student Ministries Sunday morning interactive time for students. It meets at 9:30am in Modular room 1. The goal of LIFE Sunday School is to equip students to Minister to others. During this time, students engage in discussions such as: the Trinity, purity, salvation, hot topics of the culture, prayer, is the Bible reliable, spiritual gifts, how to share their faith, and much more.
